About Modular Spill Containment
Modular spill containment systems use interlocking steel or aluminum pads that create custom containment systems that can be used for equipment washing, rig operations, wellhead protection, and more. These engineer-certified systems can be deployed in under an hour and easily moved between locations as needed.
Benefits of Modular Systems
Unlike permanent spill containment systems, modular systems are:
- Easy to install: All our systems are easy to install, with no tooling required on most models. This helps you maximize productivity by avoiding construction delays. Instead, you’ll have immediate spill protection on your site.
- Flexible: Modular systems are designed to adapt and change with the needs of your site. Need to upgrade your washing equipment to accommodate bigger equipment? We can take care of that. Want to turn your containment base into a hazardous material storage building? Easy. The flexibility of our modular systems is endless.
- Built-in compliance: All our products are designed with local and national regulations in mind, so you never have to worry about violating essential rules and regulations.
From Portable Wash Pads to Rig Containment
At Enviro-Pads, all our products are built on our signature high-grade steel base.
Portable Wash Pads
Equipment wash pads provide 100% containment for pressure washing operations and prevent contaminated wash water from reaching soil or groundwater. Standard heavy-duty configurations include 20′ x 32′ systems with 12″ height. This product uses our standard portable wash pad base with additional walls to prevent overspray. These units can be customized with doors and access points to help them seamlessly integrate into your operations.
Key Features:
- High-grade steel, stainless steel, or aluminum.
- Engineer certified.
- Interlocking design for custom sizes.
- Forklift tubes and lifting eyes for easy movement.
- Non-slip work surface.
- Heated coils for Canadian operations.
Rig Containment
Rig containment systems create complete site protection by containing drilling fluids, hydraulic oil, and other operational liquids. These systems support surface loads up to 30 tons per pad, with the ability to scale up to over 200 tons. These systems function similarly to rig matting and serve as a flat and even surface for operation.
Key Features:
- Connection houses to enable maximum fluid storage
- Built to comply with the Alberta Energy Regulator (AER), Alberta Environment, and the Fire Code of Alberta
- Can be paired with our Enviro-Pads Wellhead Containment system.
Wellhead Containment
Wellhead containment systems seal around wellheads to capture daily operational leaks and drips that would otherwise contaminate soil or groundwater. Two-piece installation design allows quick deployment around existing equipment.
Key Features:
- Engineer certified
- Interlocking pads for custom sizing
- Can be paired with our Rig Containment product to obtain complete protection.
- Custom-sized gasket assembly available.
And More!
Our spill containment pads are also used for:
- Portable Refuelling Stations: A drive-over spill containment system for refuelling trucks and equipment in remote or sensitive areas. Any small fuel spills or drips are contained.
- Aircraft Containment: Serves as a helicopter landing pad and helps prevent ground and surface water contamination.
- Hazardous Storage Buildings: Convenient enclosed secondary containment unit often used to store chemicals, oil barrels, and other hazardous substances.
